Slim Server 6.5. Under the Squeezebox device settings, audio tab, you've got an option called "preamp volume control", which attenuates output to the analog outs only. Apparently this is to set a limit on how far you can turn up the digital volume on Slimserver/Squeezebox remote; in other words, it sets how loud a volume setting of '100' will be.
Am I understanding this correctly? Second question: is the "preamp volume control" using the same method of digital volume attenuation that is used in the regular digital volume control? Or is it a different process, perhaps one that occurs in the analog rather than in the digital realm. Thanks. -- boybees ------------------------------------------------------------------------ boybees's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1153 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=28884 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
