Sadly it's not a direct swap, it comes in a different physical package
and requires a different supply voltage on the digital side.
It might be possible to make it fit using a little adapter PCB of some
kind, but the danger is that doing so would negate the effect of the
careful layout on
, it would have been modders dream. I agree there is no point in adding
extra pcb in the current model.
Lets hope Transporter 2 can take advantages of it. Mr. Adams?

AKM is releasing their newest miracle dac chip called AK4397.
Those who have tried it claim this is the best dac ever.
Apparently it can be swapped with the AK4396.
Any plans on incorporating it in the current or next Transporter?
