For the record, Quads, like my Martin Logan's, are electrostatic
designs.
IMHO, given sufficient breathing room, bipolar speakers of this type of
design (electrostatic, electromagnetic) are hard to beat!
On the microwave front, they shouldn't be leaking much energy, there are

Nice, but Magnepans aren't electrostatic speakers. They use magnets, as
