I no longer have my Transporter, so my passive pre amp that I build up from quality parts is not longer needed. I used it between by Transporter and a pair of Bryston Mono amps (all gone now). The "pre-amp" uses a fully balanced "Quad" Gold Point attenuator (.1%), and worked flawlessly for me. It is an in-line design with short cables (about 4 feet total), and uses "Neutrik" XLR connectors. It's all black and in a quality case.
