You really have to listen and compare for yourself, too many variables
honestly to give a definitive which is best answer.

Well my home trial with the Rega finishes on Thursday and so far my two
friends who have done some a/b testing for me have picked out
instruments that they didn't know existed on tracks.
Both of them have expressed it's not a night/day difference between the
stock DAC but is noticeable.

I ordered the v-dac from Audio Advisor. I couldnt stand it. I tried to
be patient and burn it in over a couple hundred hours. No deal. I
sent it back and got a refund. Other models may be better. I would not
trust it though. Got the Transporter not too long after that. No
regrets there.
