I'll have to second this. Whatever the reason, my Transporter just

+1 !
If you read french, i've posted a little listening review of my
Transporter vs my SB3. It's here :
Thanks Gary. I'd forgotten that there was a differential for the
difference in DAC's.
I'm thinking of making a change to get the most from this setup (big
DSP's as you know from t'other forum).
I seem to recall you're going down the T+ route. Are you still using
the SB+ currently?
cheers

To answer this question - as far as I can tell there are a grand total
of three manufacturers of properly designed DACs - Lavry, Benchmark,
and the higher-end Dodsons. I'm pretty sure that there are lots of
folks who own DACs that aren't properly designed - I'm one of

So are you saying there only 3 properly designed dacs? If all you read

Yeah, he must speaking sarcastically. Sometimes the praise of the

I'm auditioning a Bolder SB/UltimatePS etc. in about a week and will
post impressions then.

And what exactly is wrong with using a SqueezeBox as a digital
front-end? And please don't tell me it's because someone on the forum
said it's not good enough. I can sense that is the answer.

The SB+ with the standard DAC rather than the upgraded DAC (which is
redundant for your purpose) is £800, quite a saving on the UK price of
the Transporter.
