You should certainly be able to get something good for that - eg
£600-£800 for speakers, £300 for an amp and £100 for connects. Its
fair to say that you could spend more and get something that sounds
better, but that depends on how much money you've got and how important
it is to you!

Lots of good equipment to choose from: BW, KEF, Monitor Audio etc...
for speakers and Musical Fidelity, Arcam, Rotel for amps! Me personally
for a given dollar amount, I would spend 75% on speakers and 25% on
amp.

Thanks for that. Any comments re overall budget? I'm thinking around
£1000-1200 (US$1800) for amp+speakers+interconnects. Is this on a par
quality-wise with what the SB3 can do?
