Errrm just a thought...
Would something like this act as a trigger, safely for the power amps,
or do the power amps generally need the 12V or push button on to fire
up correctly?

The problem with
I am thinking of pairing the TP to something like Pass Labs X-600s which
only take XLR, as it is now, there are risks with software VOL control.
