Hi Robin, this is a very good idea to re-cycle some of my DACMagic II ! I suggest you to replace all three transformer, they are not very reliable. If you remove the tape around the tranfo you fill a little fuse or thermistor, you may try to replace them but in my case I prefer to replace them all
