i dont think i would be very comfortable running m22's with a t amp.
under powering speakers can cause more harm than over powering them
(although im not sure how digital amps clip?)
definately go with something alot more efficent.

Not sure about the axiom, but I considered getting the Ascend CBM170
bookshelfs for their effeciency and good reviews, though I was working
with closer to 15 watts:

The speakers require a minimum 10W power so the Sonic T-amp would be
able to drive them. I'm using a T-amp with the speakers from my plasma
in the bedroom and it sounds alright. Certainly not audiophile but I
would like to try some better speakers with it.

Had you used the SB2 prior to the mods?
no, but I have a feeling I'll be buying another squeezebox real soon
for the downstairs. Will not mod that one, so it'll be nice I can
compare the two.

i know what you mean about listener fatigue, i pretty much leave my
system cranking from the moment i enter the house till the very last
minute i have to leave/ sleep/ answer the phone infact some calls
even wind up going to answer phone.
grin.
the only negative side effect is i feel like
I own the M22's also. Love them. I use a Cambridge soundworks p1000
sub with them. Just got a Bolder Cable modded SB2 and everything
sounds amazing.
