I auditioned the 1030 Q s against 904i s with an CA 540Av2 and bought
the MS, which I still somewhat regret (should have brought my own CDs
and taken some more time). The MS generally sound more 'revealing' and
sound 'really aggressive' to me sometimes, while the QA are more

I think the 1050 is hard to beat for that money. Your room should not
be too small, as the speakers do some serious bottom end if you compare
it with your Diamonds.
The MS is a bit lighter on the lower end (no surprise with one woofer
