Dagordon,
reversing the phase polarity on your rowland should have worked and for
shure it shouldnt have made strange noises. It is not clear if you have
tried already to reverse the polarity of the TP (not even sure if that
is possible).
you have to reverse the polarity of both channels in you
So it seems like the easiest thing to do would be to have Blue Jeans
Cable make me an XLR cable where pins 2 and 3 are reversed on one end,
no?
Anyone? It's surprising to me that no one else has experienced this
problem with the polarity inversion feature, as I noticed the problem
approximately 2

Does selecting "Polarity inversion" in SqueezeCenter have the same
effect as reversing pings 2 and 3?
Selecting
Pin 1 ground is standard.
pins 2 and 3 can be either way round but pin 2 hot (+ve) is the normal
convention. Reversing 2/3 will not cause "crackling".

Well this isn't good... I'm getting some very strange crackling noises
with polarity set to inverted in SqueezeCenter. It's 100% reproducible:
at a certain point in a particular track I have, there will be a loud
crackling noise with polarity inverted, but no problem when polarity is
set to normal
Please forgive me if this is a stupid question.
I have a Transporter running balanced into a Jeff Rowland Concentra II
integrated amp.
The XLR inputs on the Concentra are such that pin #1 is ground, pin #2
is negative, and pin #3 positive. I take it this is non-standard (at
least in the US); I p
