I have had same problem with my transporter and if you are still having
problems note that when I perform Xilinx reflash I have to remove the
power lead rather than just turn power off. So hold 1 when you
reconnect power lead. Seems to work for me.

I hope you are correct as it was an extremely frustrating day trying to
get it to go again.
Re jumpers: I'm reluctant to mess with the hardware but will do so if
simple and worth it. I've had a brief google and cannot find any howto
guide. Does such a thing exist?

cables - I hate that. But I doubt that its a cable or (pre-)amp

I've started having trouble with my Transporter (again).
This morning I had to turn the power completely of, i.e., to the entire
house. Prior to doing this the unit was already off and I turned it off
at the wall. When the power was restored I turned everything back on
"nicely".
