I run my Transporter with no attenuation into my BK amp. BK @ 200wpc at full digital volume does not stress my speakers. I normally present my audio at about -7db of full. Appropriate listening room with proper equip cooling = great sound! So...it depends on the system. . -- haunyack

I found out the input impedance to the amp is 7.8k on balanced inputs, which sounds like it's really low. Not sure what that means in terms of my ability to hook up directly. If I understand, the Transporter is 100. I have no idea how to chose resister values (R1 R2) to get to a fixed

The safe way is to start with maximal attenuation using the internal jumpers (-30dB), and work your way towards 0 dB only as needed. Since the internal jumpers _electrically_ limit the amplitude that Transporter can output, they are safer than using the software volume control, or even a preamp

The most elegant solution would be to get a fixed in-line balanced attenuator. Or you can use the internal RCA output attenuators and a RCA-XLR adapter on the speaker side. The adapter just ties one side of the balanced input to ground. You don't get the benefit of a balanced connection but
