Thanks for the super-quick response :)
I have 7.0.1 and will update to the current version. I will post back
if the issues recurrs.
Strange enough it worked fine on this version for a few months, before
the problem occurred.
Thanks

This thread is old - the digital input problems are believed to have
been fixed as of a few months ago.
If you're still having issues, we need to know what firmware version
you're running.

Hello Slim Devices - any updates for me?
Is this a software problem? I have filed a service request also.
It's kind of a moot point because streaming files wifi to the
Transporter sounds better to me than my Sony cd transport with

This is a software issue and I will get on it soon. Sorry, I've just
been tied up with other things.

What is the output format for the specific DVD you are listening
(probably button 'audio' on the remote)? Make sure it's not DTS, needs
to be something like 5.1 or 2.0. Also, recheck that your digital output
format is switched to PCM, and not to RAW.
Other than that,
This might seem obvious, but did you press play? Even when you swtich
the Transporter in DAC mode you still have to tell it to play. It took
me a few minutes to figure that out.

Also see if you can do it from the built-in firmware menu (i.e. not
connected to a server). Press and hold left arrow to go out to the
setup menu.

Hi Sean,
If you mean select the digital input and press play with the remote
directly on the Transporter, that's how I

Yes, I checked the input - rca spdif. Confirmed.
When I first tried the digital out, I had the Sony DVP set to

You do have the DVD digital out set to PCM (not AC-3) AND the
Downmix set to normal (not surround) don't you?
It's easy to not set both of these...
Also are you using Toslink or coax - there are known issues with this
particular player where the two connectors behave differently (even

Sean,
I'm playing a cd right now using the firmware - that works!
I have the rca spdif input selected and no problem.
I did the xilinx reprogram on start up also. When I scrolled left to

I hooked up my Sony DVP 7000es that I use as a transport to the rca
spdif digital input on my Transporter.
I get no music, LOUD pops and chirps and clicking when I switch the
volume.
What is wrong - this is supposed to double as a DAC, yet I get nothing
- help!
