I have used mine via xlr into ATC SCM50a actives and via rca into a headphone amp simultaneously. Currently just being used as a digital front end into a pair of Meridian DSP 5500's. I did also use a Z-sys RDP-1 digital pre/parametric eq between its SPDIF out and dac and have plans to try to
