Thank you for the monday patches of this week! Now aufs works with kernel 2.6.23 (rc7).
In SPBLinux I am able to run mozilla firefox from a readonly directory and aufs allows to install system wide plugins. That used to work fine with linux 2.6.20 and now it works as well with 2.6.23 as a paravirtualized xen client! To be exact: status is works for me (TM), on first usage.
