Hi, I am the maintainer of alot. I started the package when it was only released through git. I didn't realise that they've started proper releases - I will update the package. tbh I'm only interested in running the git version, but now hollunder has uploaded alot-git, am I to give up

Hi, What is the _official_ opinion on when to bump pkgver on VCS packages? I maintain offlineimap-git [1] (and a few other VCS packages) in AUR and generally bump the pkgver on each commit and may add to the comments about major changes. Other maintainers seem to take the approach to not bump
