Notice there is correspondence on weak links and some clubs are still using
rope as weak link.

I got involved in using Tost parallel system of links over 40years ago and
could only recommend them for both winch and aerotow.

Most 18m gliders and open gliders have a weak link max of 600kg however
Susan Dupont family owner of Tost recommend these gliders use min of 500kg
WHITE. . I believe most Pawnees have been upgraded from 1000 lbs (450kg)
to 750kg. Regretfully I think Callair and C180s may still be 450kg so
should be checked. Many clubs are using yellow or 400 kg which is on the
low side especially if using water in these heavy gliders.

I have stocked all Tost weak links, covers, D bolts and Tost rings for
almost 40 years and are available at Tost list price plus freight from
Germany. (I buy in quantity for an extra discount) For example when or
dollar was worth money my Tost ring pair price was below $40 while GFA were
charging think about 50‰more. My current price is regretfully little over
$50 and can be delivered express mostly 2 days delivery.

I can not supply TOST springs as they must come from GFA as the agreement
is between Tost and GFA to service release.

I hope this year Tost may introduce a TOST 210x65 6pr tyre as the
Continental has been an ongoing issue for a number of years. I do have in
stock about 50 various main, nose and tail wheel tyres as well as tail
wheel hubs inc Pawnee.
