I saw this site advertised recently on a trip to Melbourne.  Seems to me that a 12 to 1 glide ratio entirely within ground effect is achievable. It could be a good way to promote our sport in Victoria as well. the website is worth a look anyhow.   http://www.birdmanrally.com
