The sad news came through last night that Maurie has passed on. Deepest
sympathy to Anne and all Waikerie members, it's a deep loss to us all in
the gliding movement.
Maurie was a great contributor to the sport, one of nature's true
gentleman, and a great pilot.

It is with deep sadness to the entire Gliding community that we have lost
one of the few true professionals in gliding.
I feel very privileged to known Maurie and to have received his words of
wisdom and encouragement.
Maurie will be fondly remembered.
