Well done Simon. I think I had the best thermal ever yesterday. The averager was on 10.9kt as I shot through 10,000ft. Unfortunately our airways clearance was only to 10,000ft and cross country opportunities beckoned but were unrealised due to instructing commitments. regards John Ashford Alic

Well, I flew my Motorfalke 180 km's yesterday (yes, with the engine off!) in 2.5 hours (72 km/h). Might not sound like much, but in an 18:1 aircraft, I'm impressed, even if noone else is :) (Had a ball - yesterday was one of those very, very good days in weather terms in SA - what a great day
