This is really good advice Mike and something I've tried to teach pre-XC pilots. While driving to the field (and I have taken detours just for this exercise) look at the fields from the ground, walk some of them if you like, and then when you are in the air look at them again and compare your menta

Would anyone on this aus-soaring list in the the Melbourne area who uses a Paraphenalia "Softie" type parachute care to respond to me directly.  I would like to inspect such a parachute prior to my club buying such an item.  We have had our parachutes officer looking at a variety of parachut
