I agree with you Christopher,
And their Accident report on P42 was well done.
Also, I suggest that our sport have a look at the way the Ultralights report
accidents and incidents in their magazine. It is quite similar.
In my view, the way they do it is a reasonable model for the GFA. Names and

Hi Peter
I can get these flashlights through a friend of mine.
He is even making one available for trails.
I will find out how much they cost and will get back to you.
If you like, you can be the guinea pig and pay me when you
are happy.
The flashlight draws under 20 watt.

Hi Mike
Of course, they are pulsed. Two quick flashes in close
succession followed by a break of around one second.
Very simple, but highly effective.

Don,
Could be the noise level at the receiver was un acceptable for some reason,
maybe his phone , PDA , glide computer - who knows. This is the real problem
with low performance front ends and common public frequency devices, the
receiver does not meet the filtering specs most high end comms do ,
Mine arrived Monday 4/7 - well worth waiting for.

I have had a running discussion with FLARM's Urs Rothacher this
afternoon and he was most helpful with answering some of the concerns
raised earlier.
I shall seek his permission before posting a précis of the exchange
sometime tomorrow.

Also re reporting:
I was so impressed with the simplicity, candour and transparency of the
HGFA's General Manager's report on the proposed rule changes in the July
edition of Soaring Australia.
