Hi John, I think we had one of those Gill's or similar in the BD-4. Ours was 29 lbs. We've had a PC680 for the last 6 years and it has been great. There's also one in the Nimbus 3DM as they fit the form factor of the 18A-h sealed lead acid Panasonic type but designed to handle cranking power.

G'day Mike, We had a Gill G-25 in the little Pitts down here - all 25 lbs of it. To address some CofG issues we switched to an Odyssey PC680 Battery - at 15Lbs it was actually a measurable improvement - it's nearly a 1/3 of the size of the G-25. Not cheap but in 3 years we haven't looked it. Th

Hi Dave, There is no such requirement in the Nationals Rules at present, and I just want to make clear, in case this thread is worrying anyone, that at the upcoming Benalla Club Class Nationals we will NOT be requiring gliders or pilots to comply with anything that is not in the Nationals Rules

I believe the requirement for height of contest markings is specified in the FAI sporting code, or similar document. Ross McLean made reference to this requirement as a condition the NCC were requesting comp gliders to comply with. Check Ross or MCC committee members. They could advise on this. Da
