Can anyone advise with precision on the GFA requirements for glider
insurance to enter competitions these days?
Especially re two seaters and I would like to put forward re this that
the second person in the two seater is no way a passenger but very

I rang Aviation Insurance Brokers today asking for a quote and they told me
that they can't offer any more Insurance for Gliders, and as far as they
know Oamps is the only one available

One other company that insures gliders in Australia is AssetInsure. I think it
is Swiss based, but it is well represented in Oz. This company will not deal
directly with the clients i.e. you and me, so you must deal with them through a
