Can anyone advise with precision on the GFA requirements for glider
insurance to enter competitions these days?
Especially re two seaters and I would like to put forward re this that
the second person in the two seater is no way a passenger but very
definitely an active crew member. Competition fli
I rang Aviation Insurance Brokers today asking for a quote and they told me
that they can't offer any more Insurance for Gliders, and as far as they
know Oamps is the only one available

Gentlemen, Sometime back there was a thread on options for insuring
Gliders. I am in the position of having my previous insurer suddenly(sometime
back) advising that they were not going to be involved in the business if
insuring gliders any more. I let everything lapse as I was going to be
which begs the question why are they all leaving the glider sector??
And we are left with a monopoly??

liability outside Australia?
OAMPS told me that no insurer would provide such a cover which I can't
believe.
For an Australian registered glider I'm after coverage for Europe and
Morocco for maybe 4 to 5 month a year.
