Hi Everyone,

"Everyone who visits rightfully tries to promote their own club by
continuing to use their home site as the "site" on OLC, but this is a
negative for Narromine as the locals are very technofobic and tend not
to use this medium."

1) Your GPS records your take off site. Its in the .igc file you
upload. You cannot change that. The club you fly for, you initially
nominate when you register.

Narromine is listed on the OLC as the 2nd most "prolific" airfield in
Australia at present. (140 000km/278 flights). Have seen some of the
recent flights flown from there and recorded?! Not so negative at all!

2) OLC upload has been known to test the patience of anyone, even
(especially!) the geeks among us.

Hence :

"GFA need to send each club (and each club its individual member)
DETAILED steps as to how they can access, download and keep track of the
OLC."

....Might, in part, be a bit of an unfair request.

That said, I think the OLC is great for gliding in general. (and the
FAI needs to get behind it fully. But thats another thread...)

Cheers
