Regarding the new European rules proposal:
When your aim is to limit the damage I'd say you've lost the fight
in your own mind.
It has already been lost on maintenance and airworthiness regulation
in Europe with hardly any opposition from the gliding bodies.
I suspect they'll all roll over
Perfect opportunity for expanding gliding tourism to Australia if you cant
fly in Europe
