A lot of brilliant software has begun life as a project of passion, geeks and
or open source groups. No real commercial cost to produce.
However, once people, no matter how few or many, start to use and like that
software, the demands to improve, modify and add to it, begin.

I think SeeYou would be cheap at twice the price, but that's just me.
Naviter are a commercial organisation, they put a product out there and
the market decides if they want to buy it. It is not compulsory.

It was a very simple process to reload the downgraded version (5.43) which

Subscription models for software seem to be an almost necessary evil.

Just to relate my current experience with this program.
In 2011, I purchased SeeYou for PC to facilitate flight analysis. As I
understood at the time, and from the documents related to the purchase, this
was a once-only cost. Since then, there have been a number of automatic
upgrades.

At home now, left about 10. Weather was crap and forecast didn't suggest it was
going to improve.
Yesterday was funny. From the ground it looked awesome... but turned out to be
quite soft. Best climb I had all day was 6.6 Knts. But very narrow and hard to
centre. Most were 2 - 4 Knts.

Thanks Adam ... excellent information. Would make a great article for GA.

Why do I like it? Because I know the product because I have been
