Do you want to transit through them or reach their customers? Very different
things. If the former, then there’s no choice but to buy transit from them.
If it’s the latter then you can buy transit from any member of the Gang of Four
(as they peer). Less likely, but there may be aggregators
Pay them their advertised rates.

2048-bit keyed RSA takes ~2.4b times as long to crack by brute force than
1024-bit. 3072-bit key implementations are already out there, and I am sure
4096-bit is already possible.
