Hey Paul,
Of course, carriers need to be held accountable as well. Impose the financial
penalties as well as repair costs on them if they fail to update their network
maps.
With diversity, carriers really should be taking the initiative and advertising
their diversity. Those who have it in

Hi Chris,
It's a fair point you raise, but it's a 2 way street, contractors would be
operating off diagrams which the carriers need to keep up to date, if something
was incorrect and then they dug a cable up it's not their fault, but I agree,
there should be something to penalise cowboys.
TPG have now had at least 3 major fiber cuts in the past 6 weeks. Some form of
policy, law, legislation, (whatever we want to call it) needs to be introduced
where if a civil contractor causes damage to a telecommunications carrier
network, then the business/company responsible is suspended
Our most recent update is that there was fibre and conduit damage on Jones Road
during civil works regarding a power pole, ETR was originally 05:00 today but
has now blown out to 16:00.

the link per month, you can go a contract with a C-Band satellite
provider(using a typical global beam off the bird).
There are a few satellites around 91 degree's east e.g Measat3 and can
