+1 from me too.
We also use Opengear for both our 4g remote access boxes and our DC OOB serial
gateways.
We use lighthouse for all the 4g gear too and it rocks, no requirement for that
for the DC gateways but I'm sure it would have worked there too. We run it
on-prem but I'll bet it would wo
This isn't just old devices either, my Android phone is running near enough to
the latest release and this broke my radius auth against a Lets encrypt cert.
I had to manually edit the CA to remove the final root cert, which Lets Encrypt
are still including via the renewal tool I'm using.

We've done it a bit (and are currently running some) on Telstra.internet (if I
recall correctly) using DMVPN with Cisco gear to do it, so its not an exact
match to your situation.
Never noticed any specific IKEv2 issues though.

Hey Rhys,
Sorry it’s a bit late, I’ve been off for a few days. Hopefully this is still
helpful.
We’ve got SSL VPN’s running on a couple of 887’s we use for OOB management, we
are running 15.9 on them and it seems to function and IIRC we had 15.6 before,
so you should be ok with 15.7.x.

That’s a bit of a stretch isn’t it though for a general use case.
It’s pretty simple to
1. Not enable remote printing from another subnet / the internet by default
2. Not allow printing without proper auth, especially remotely
3. Not allow incoming connections through a router without so
We are a Telstra 4G / Anyconnect SSL VPN shop and I haven't heard of any
complaints for this issue. Are you using Anyconnect, or just using the
clientless VPN?
Are they 100% using the 4G connection and not accidentally on hotel / public

That is spot on, but I haven’t seen a single quote come back that was in the
price range you would actually consider going ahead with.
Admittedly that was for FTTN -> FTTP upgrades, but still I always got the
feeling those “choices” were priced to make it unaffordable to regular
consumers on pu
Hey all,
Any Telstra TIPT customers on the list that have had any problems this morning?
Our TIPT services failed at about 8:45 this morning (AEST), and after having a
bit of a dig it looks to be a DNS resolution problem for
sbc-nsw.nipt.telstra.com, which seems to be only reachable via the Tel
That is my (horrifying) understanding as well.

MGig will go all the way up to 10gbps if the device at both ends supports it,
I’m using it right now for that purpose. Some devices don’t support it however,
our 3802 APs will only go up to 5gbps, whereas the 3560 and 3850 mgig models
will do 10 between each other.
It is surprising how far it’l
We run the 3850 12X48U’s here (12 Mgig ports, 48 total, with UPOE on them) and
the mgig is good, it will run 10gb no problem. They do make a 24 port model as
well.
Just keep in mind your uplink might be a problem there as the SFP+ uplinks are

I was about to say something like this too.
I spent 5-7 years trying to get Telstra to come and repair the joint outside my
house, broken off metal pole, after about ¾ of that time it ruined my net too,
connection drop-outs all the time, even with photos and technical problems they
still didn’t
The latency checks are the dead giveaway here, when it splits from 3 results to

Hmmm, I hope that isn’t the case….
We haven’t had any noticed issues yet on our few services, but we might not
have come up to re-key timers yet.
Fingers crossed It’s a misconfiguration or accident and it gets fixed up soon,
rather than a deliberate block.

We haven’t tested it yet (still waiting to buy it) but I’ve used the 3g EHWIC
