When they encounter a set of rules such as:
a: b
$(srcdir)/b:
most makes don't identify $(srcdir)/b as fitting for `b'.
Specifically, if $(srcdir)/b already exists, it will fullfill
the dependency as it is the right file, but target lookup won't
ever find it as a dependency.
