Hi there!
Just installed fresh awesome over ubuntu. And my issue is:
- Meta + R: works blind. I want to show the one line terminal.
Does anybody know how to configure the desktop ?
thanks,
mickael
k found it.
everything was caused by /usr/share/gnome-session/sessions/awesome.session
so I replaced
RequiredComponents=gnome-panel;gnome-settings-daemon;awesome
by
RequiredComponents=awesome
that is it!

hi mister,
To understand your situation:
You tried to run Awesome WM (Window Manager) into another WM as Unity,
Gnome, KDE etc. Which is provided with your Ubuntu.
That's absolutely forbidden!
To workaround try that:
Logout from your session from your current WM. Then you arrive at login
screen.
Hi,
I'm new around. I've that little issue.
I would like to use keyboard shortcuts directly at startup. Instead I've to
take the mouse, click at menu icon to start any program. Then I can use
keyboard to do what I want to do.
Looks not expected behavior.
So how to enable keyboard at startup ?
