Finally I released the version 1.0 of awesompd - an advanced MPD
widget for Awesome. In this release I mainly focused on the interaction
with Jamendo trying to make awesompd a viable Jamendo client. Even more
than that - I wanted to let Awesome users listen to music from Jamendo
directly through MPD without any browsers and song downloading.
What you can do with awesompd so far:
- search for music on Jamendo by artist, album or tag
- listen to Jamendo Top 100 (you can choose what rating to use to
find "top" - daily, weekly or total)
- choose format of the music stream - MP3 or Ogg
- for Jamendo streams awesompd fetches and shows their album covers
As basic player features awesompd can:
- control playback
- show your playlist
- load playlists
- switch mpd servers
- change options (volume, repeat, random etc.)

As I used the current version not for long there can be some bugs. I
