Thanks for the quick replies guys. What do I need to do to set the layout to have no master windows, and just a single column of windows? It seems I need to add something long the lines of: layouts[1].setnmaster(0) layouts[1].setncol(1) but I'm not sure if that's correct, or where to add it. I
