In AX2009 Enterprise Portal Product Catalog, I have a problem viewing a
hierarchical product group structure on the EP web page. The product group
setup form in AX shows you can have multiple group nodes under the top level
group and multiple Item Nodes under the component group nodes, e.g.,
Top Level Group
-> Group1
- > Item Node1
- > Group2
- Item Node 1
- Item Node 2
- Item Node 3
However, with that structure, it only shows the first line in each component
Group node on the EP web page. When I set up the structure with the Item Nodes
directly below the Top Level group node (no component groups), it does show all
the Items Nodes not just the first. Any idea why the multilevel group structure
is not working properly?
Related to this, if I set up an even deeper structure and click on a sub group
link of a component Group Node
(Top Node
- Group1 Node
- Group1A Node),
I get an error, which shows up in the event viewer as:
"An unexpected error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
System.NullReferenceException
at WebProductCatalog.LayoutProductGroupVertical(String groupId)"
