This will realy depend on how you wish to schedule, reserve and 
monitor your capacity. adding to this, the data collection 
(feedback) feasability from the shopfloor, especially when you use 
job card journal to report hours.

1. if you use lines, then the line capacity will be dectated by the 
slowest machine. So in this case you will not be able to monitor 
bottle neck machines individually. 

2. if you use individual machine as work centers, then I suggest you 
group machines with similar or identical capacities under one work 
center. this will allow you to monitor bottle-necks and manage 
buffers.

As a general suggestion, I would use lines in process manufacturing, 
otherwise, in the case of discrete I would use individual machines.
