Hello all,
I have a situation with a client that I am looking for ways to handle
efficiently. This client produces material in batches and sells this
material in a variety of finished goods configurations.

As an example, they produce a product called 'RM1', and assemble
Finihsed goods configurations 'FG1', 'FG2' and 'FG3' upon order
receipt (each of these FG is a BOM item that uses the RM1 material).

There are occasional requirements where all material on a particular
sales order must come from a single batch.

For example, an order has three lines (FG1, FG2 and FG3) and they
want to ensure that all RM1 used to assemble these three products
came from a single batch.

Have any of you encountered a similar situation. Any thoughts you
might have on handling this in AX (2009) would be appreciated.

Best Regards,

Kurt Beers
