[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] SQL on separate domain than AOS & Client

Hi, Does anyone know whether or not the Dynamics SQL database could be stored on a SQL server outside of the domain. Does the SQL server need to be on the domain, and if so, why? thanks for all the advice !!! Johan
