i think the database is not connecting to the AOS.
Please try with 2-tier with the same database .

First check , do you have license for AOT or not? Are
you a partner , then must have developement license
and you can easily access the AOT.
another reason may be :
if you have carried out all the check lists for your
first run of axapta , then close the axapta and start
again.

There was some problem in the database i think
I restored the AXDB and now i can access the AOT

on which machine have u installed the AOS. it is
better to install on the same machine on which the
application is installed. If the database server is on
another machine then see that you have proper access
to that machine. (you can check that by connecting to

If it is demo version, MSDE is the server it is using.
Just check your ODBC, and ODBC in Configuration
utility. It should be Local\GlobalTraning. Before
reinstalling, have you uninstalled ?
