[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Employee Number Sequence?

Dear All, If we need to have a number sequence used for employees, do we need to create one based on the EmplId or its better to create another field and EDT? EmplId is used through out the systme and dont know whether whether using it as a num seq wil effec the standard system AX2009? thanks
