Dear all,

I am installing Enterprise portal and role center for one of our customers.
Please find below the server configuration in which I am doing installation:
• Windows server 2008 R2 – 64 bit operating system
• Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 (64 bit) and Service pack 1
• Microsoft SQL server 2008 (64 bit)
• Application server (Application files, AOS, Client , workflow and Dot
NET
business connector)
• Database server (Database and Analysis extension)

As per the prerequisites I installed WSS 3.0 and WSS3.0  sp1 in the server
initially. But as per the configuration above, the server was not allowing me
to install SP1. After researching the blogs/forums, it was understood that
for Windows server 2008 R2 (64 bit) we need to install WSS 3.0 SP2 directly.
I installed WSS 3.0 SP2 after that and with that WSS part is completed.

I installed Enterprise portal and role center with warnings. However, when I
create a website through Dynamics AX 2009, it’s  throwing error message
stating “Windows SharePoint Services is not installed on this computer”.

I would like to know if there are any documents available that would be
helpful to resolve the error. It would be great if you can help on this.

Thanks in advance for your efforts on this.

Thanks,
Raja
