Hi,
when u create a user-control in vs 2 objects are added into AOT,
1. webcontrol located under webfiles
2. managed content item under webcontents
while creating a web part page in EP, actually managed content items vl look up
and not the webcontrol
so in ur case, check whether u can find the managed content item in AOT, if not
import the same from your development system.
