Hi Marica It is possible to link different numbering sequences to different journal names. We do this to create unique voucher numbers for different types/classification of transactions. For example, our CASH journal has CSH in the voucher number; MISC journal has MSC in the voucher number, Tax journal has TAX in the voucher number, etc.
Our journal table is shared, but the voucher number sequences are not. Steps: first set up the journal; Navigation GL>Setup>Journals>Journal names. In the form add the journal name - designate journal type & other criteria. Under the Voucher series; right click and select "go to main table" & it takes you to the number sequence form. Create a new record, enter relevant info and then select. All of our voucher series are named "Ledg_###" (number sequencially), to keep them all in one group & easily identifiable as a voucher number sequences linked to a journal. Hope this helps, :) --- In Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com, "leroux_marica" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi All, > > I have a requirement from a client to link different numbering > sequinces to different Journal Names.
