I've run into another problem, though. Apparently, we are going to be
making heavy use of attached files throughout our implementation of
the system. My supervisor feels that keeping all of these in the
database may cause issues with database size, performance, back ups,
etc.

I tried adding a new record to the DocuType table (called "LogoImage")
which would only be used for my images, but it always errors out when
I try to save. So now I'm stuck again.

Thanks, though, for the help. Your solution works great if I get the
opportunity to use it!

Document Type form will show up. From there go to the "General" Tab
and there you will find "File Location" field that should be set
