Straight after you do a closing then you can change the model I believe.

You might want to run some form of onhand adjustment as this splits the
closed and open inventtrans and so this wouldgive you a clean break int eh
data (of course you should adjust back the amount so you are in effect dogin
2 adjustments)

Alternative is to write off all stock after the close.  Do another close.
Change the model group and then bring back the stock.

Hi All,

Please assist on the following:

The system has been running live for nearly a year on Axapta 4.0 sp1.
We have passed our 1st year end but the requirement now is to change 
the costing method from Weighted Average to Weighted average date.
There is a lot of transactions, so reversing transactions is not an 
option.

I can see that it is still possible to change the Costing method on the 
model group, but i am not sure what the implications are.

What are my options? Can someone suggest a course of action that 
doesn't include me re-implementing the whole system?
