Are the server and client running the same service pack?

(the above error occurs under 3-tier when any function needs to recalculate the Sales Order tax) Does anyone have any idea's as to why the server version of class SalesCalcTax_Sales reacts differently to the client when calling method taxCashDiscPercent?
