You can define as many tables as you want for your virtual company. This is done in
Table Collections in the AOT.

Subject: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Intercompany Setup Table Collection/Virtual Company

Dear all,

I would like some opinions from members on how setting up an
intercompany model.

The setup I am looking at is excluding the commerce gateway.
Two sites (companies) one is buying stuff from the other one.

The companies are assigned to a virtual company that contains the
table collection intercompany. I am a bit surprised that standard
there is only one table attached to this table collection, only the
InventTableCompany. I would have expected that a lot more tables
were added.

Unless one is going to make extensive use of external codes the
table collection for this virtual company could contain a lot more
tables. Has someone a template available for all the tables that
qualify.

I am thinking about the following:
- units
- unit conversions
- commodities
- transport methods
- countries (if both companies are in the same country, else we have
a problem with the domestic country identification, maybe someone
solved this in another way)
- trade agreements ??

If one could standardize over both companies maybe a lot more tables
could qualify.

Is it possible to put the chart of account in the table collection
if both companies would be using the same account codes and reports.
What tables would then qualify?

When not using the commerce gateway is it possible to communicate
orders between the companies automatically?

regards,
DAnny

Regards,
Danny
